Texas Tech University Commencement Ceremony


10 AM - 7 PM

Degree candidates from the various colleges at Texas Tech University will receive their diplomas on December 11th and 12th at the United Supermarkets Arena. The Texas Tech University Commencement Ceremony will have multiple events to promote social distancing measures. The in-person commencement schedule for Saturday, December 12th is as follows:

Signs / banners and air horns / noise makers are prohibited to help maintain the dignity of this special occasion.

The arena is a CHL exclusionary zone for this event (guns free). Open carry is prohibited at all arena events.

Please note that masks are required of all guests and graduates attending the ceremony. Creating a safe environment is a shared responsibility; we ask that all guests follow the social distancing guidelines posted around the arena.

The Clear Bag Policy is in effect for this event to help facilitate bag searches in a sanitary fashion. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12", or small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, may be taken into the venue.
